residential real estate

The shift to electric driving opens up the opportunity to fill-up your car at home. Home charging is widely acknowledged to be the preferred charging location for EV-drivers. Providing apartment buildings with the comfort of home charging in a safe and affordable manner requires a professional service provider who takes care of it all.

APPROACH

stakeholder alignment

Development of charging facilities need a stakeholder approach involving the property owner, the homeowner association (HOA) manager, the party responsible for the technical installation and ultimately the residents. Financial constraints, safety concerns and random emergence of demand in the carpark, need to be managed throughout.

owners (investors, HOA)

concern: Fear of getting operationally bogged down in the set-up and delivery of services (given lack of domain expertise).

solution
: Extensive service levels offered allow owners to achieve their objectives, but with minimal ongoing involvement.

HOA managers

concern: Managing the stakeholders and developing solutions that fits everyone's needs, takes up significant time.

solution
: Collectric’s solution is well thought through, incorporates operating experience and addresses all stakeholder friction points.

residents

concern: Meeting the requirements of the HOA and securing sufficient power supply can be challenging.

solution
: Collectric operates under a framework agreement wherein all HOA requirements are met.

process

so how do we get there?

Project economics are dependent on good project execution. We apply a stage-gate model to minimise time and money at risk. We focus on what's important to commence services on time and on budget.

1

project feasibility

After a detailed introduction to our services, we seek to find alignment on key terms early on. We determine day 1 and future demand based on engagement with residents, and perform feasibility to rule out red flags.

2

service contracting

We agree a service delivery model and associated pricing and terms with the HOA. Upon appointment as charging service provider, residents who need a charging station sign a service agreement with us.

3

execution of works

Works are carried out, including installation of a central distribution system, necessary modifications to the existing technical facilities (including grid connection), and installation of charging stations.

4

start of service

Services commence upon completion of installation, testing and administrative set-up. Any future demand is directed to Collectric and residents are served in accordance with terms agreed with HOA.
